Kid's Rooms

With my commissioned murals, the client is in complete control.  Let your imagination guide you as you choose exactly what you want.  If you can't decide, let me help.  Upon request, I can sketch out several ideas, so you can see exactly how different ideas will lay out in the space to be painted. 

This is from a little girl's room. 

The idea came from a children's book

Pooh's nursery

This room is designed like a bunker in a ship.  Each bunk is complete with a painted porthole.    On one end of the room, there is a large treasure map, and on the other end, there is a reading nook with painted shelves full of nautical books.  The books bring in a lot of great color.

This is a little boy's room.  The door to the room is glass.  So when the light is on in the room and you look through the door, it seems as if you are looking into an aquarium..

This theme was taken from the bedding.

Lucky Stars Ranch--The post have real lanterns that light up.

Paris--The dog is smoking a cigarette and saying, "Le Woof."

This is in a restroom.

This is another deep sea restroom.   Every inch of wall space is painted, including the ceiling.  Watch out for the creatures overhead. 

Sailboats--The water circles the entire room.

Parts of this mural are 3-D.  Shapes were cut out of 3/4" boards to make the large daisies and a few other critters and then attached to the walls.  I painted over the shapes.  Look closely.

Outdoor theme

This is a gymnast's room.  It is a close-up of a hand on a parallel bar.

Night sky with glowing stars, moon, hawk, and dragonflies.  With a theme like this, a child is unlikely outgrow it.

Razorback nursery with Lulu the dog.

Sesame Street These characters are life-sized.  Big Bird is close to 9' tall.

Play Room--This was one of my first murals!

This harlequin pattern was done in a teenager's room.

This is some painted furniture for a little girls room.

This mural has a nursery rhyme theme. Look closely to see all the great detail. The walls are 8' in height.

These designs are in a teenage girl's room.

This mural is in a boy's room. He is a fan of muscle cars and football. The figure is about 6' in height.

Dinosaur and volcano.

Two boys share this room. One likes owls and the other likes bats.

Closet doors.

Monster party. These are cut out of Styrofoam insulation board.

Fairy tree and fairy houses on 10' high walls.

Deep sea with ruins and a sunken ship on 8' high walls. The ripples and light rays are painted with glow in the dark paint.

This nursery mural includes caricatures of the family pets. The walls are 8' in height.
