These are a few of my assemblages.  They are a combination of photographs, painting, and found objects.

These huge oil paintings are from a series about the life of an old friend of mine named Puppy.  They are 8' high  by 6' wide.

This is a painting of my father.  I copied the image from a drawing I did when I was 7 years old onto a huge road sign.  It's 4'  by 5' 6"

I call this one "The Death of Grover."  It's oil on masonite board.  It's from a series of paintings I did about my childhood memories.

I did a series of 2 dozen paintings about television talk shows.  Each painting is named after a title of one of the programs.  I watched Springer and Opera and everything in between and soon realized that the chairs are the most interesting aspect of these shows.

I've made over a dozen of these dragonflies.  They are made from found objects and vary is size from life size to having 18" wing spans.

This was a commissioned piece which became a Christmas gift.  The person receiving the gift was sent on a scavenger hunt to find it.  The wall hanging sculpture was decorated with a Santa Claus hat.  The wall it hangs on is about 10'.

This is an assemblage I did for an outdoor sculpture exhibit at the University of Arkansas.  I had my own personal story or meaning behind this but I didn't tell it to many people.  I left it open to interpretation, and people believed it was everything from the Rat King to Mosses.  Now it stands in front of my home in Fayetteville, AR.  It is over 6' tall.

These are just a few sculptures I made before I learned how to wield.  Each found object was wired or hammered together.  I made them to resemble action figures or toys.  The  figure in the front is about a foot tall while the figure in the back is 13 feet tall.  I was having fun with scale.

I also made these before I learned to wield, so this cow and farmer are held together mainly with gravity; the objects fit together like a large puzzle.  All the junk that I used to construct these came from the edge of a cow pasture, thus I had the idea to build a life-sized cow.  After I built it, I moved the cow sculpture to the middle of the pasture to let the cows mingle with it.  I was surprised and lucky enough to capture on three rolls of film all the cows interacting with the sculpture, including a bull who knocked part of it over.

These are from a series of 15 photos that I developed.  Each photo is framed by an object that I found near the little girl's home.

These are some random prints that I've made.  I have an old Pentax k100 camera, and I really enjoy developing  black and white prints

I took this with a pinhole camera.  I made the skeletal figure in the foreground out of chicken bones and Elmer's glue when I was a kid.

When I am not painting murals or teaching, I am making art work for myself.  I enjoy trying new mediums.  Over the years I have created numerous paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media assemblages.  There are too many things to show here, so I am only adding a small sample of my own artwork.  If you are interested in any of this or would like to see more, please contact me.
